Moor Lane

This project comprised of a new dormer bungalow with a detached car port. This was an interesting project as the height of the dwelling was critical in regards to the neighbouring dwellings. It is intended to look simple from the front elevation, with a little surprise to the interior ....
This private residence is located in Leicestershire.

This site was initially a vacant parcel of land. Through productive works with the planning department, planning consent was attained.

The height of the building and its relationship to the neighbouring dwellings was critical along with its external appearance fronting the lane. This was due to the risk of any development on this site causing a detrimental impact to the surrounding area.

Through careful design and planning a positive result was achieved.

An air source heat pump was installed to provide heating & hot water to this dwelling. The owner was reluctant with the installation of this system at first as they had little knowledge of it. Once the dwelling was complete and occupied, their views dramatically changed as they realised the cost benefits of the system.

A pleasant addition was also introduced to the interior, which was made into a feature. Its definitely become a focal point.

The attention to detail is clearly visible throughout, in our opinion this development is fantastic.
